Many believers have the Spirit in them, but not all believers live in the Spirit.
When we are stirred by urgent circumstances to pray, we often respond from our flesh as anxiety overwhelms us and makes it difficult to align ourselves in the Spirit. Circumstances inspired prayers can be good but it is not the best place to be in. Over time, prayers become work (task orientated) instead of fellowship from rest (relationship orientated). It wears us out. We pray for victory instead of from victory.
Let’s learn to pray from stillness. Stillness stirs our Spirit from within, quiets our soul and relax our body to allow God’s perspective to take over the situations. It often starts from ‘the closet’; a place where we can hear His whispers in the midst of silence. Silence has a frequency. It is where and when He reveals His secrets when we are spirit to spirit :
But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.
(1 Corinthians 2:10)
