Artists are often dreamers who choose to walk the narrow way. Artists know passion & faith alone is not enough to bring us through. It takes courage, humility, perseverance and discipline to walk out this journey despite all negativities along the way. And I am one of them.
It did not take me long to understand what it meant by : the journey has no goal, the goal is the journey. Disregard how beautiful the artwork turns out to be, God’s focus is not the end-product, He is more interested in the process…. how we go through it.
The art process is one of the most phenomenal experience where our body, soul and Spirit come as One to engage with our inner response to create. Art helps us to grow in our craftsmanship, it also allows the Great Creator to nurture, discipline and craft us into His supreme excellence through the process of art making. Thus society’s intellectual and emotional understanding of the world can be enhanced… ultimately making it a better place to live in.
