1st art exhibition : The gathering of the lions 2014

I received a word from the Lord (not audible voice) around 2011-2012 while on my way to church service at Cornerstone to do a lion exhibition. He even gave me a name for the exhibition : The Gathering of the Lions. I struggled as I was very new as an artist and also thought the idea was too big for me to do it alone. So I put  it aside but told the Lord if it is for me, please reserve the name of the exhibition and not allow it to be used.

During an overnight prayer meeting (Monday midnight slot) with 2 long -time friends in 2013 praying for our nation, I was reminded of the lion exhibition. As I seeked further, I understood I need to do the exhibition for Singapore’s coming jubilee starting on her 49th year in 2014 with 49 lion paintings. While still wondering how to go about it and who should I connect as there was no way I could do the 49 paintings alone. God again reminded me He already prepared the artist for the exhibition, my art students! Alll my art students, both children and adults, one of the art piece they must do is lion! God is awesome! He actually prepared the artists for the exhibition over the years without me even aware!

I started preparing and gathering artists (most of the artists were from my art class, few were friends I know from the art industry). We took about 1 year to prepare (to paint and to get sponsorship) for exhibition. Some artists back out, and new artists joined us along the way. The final number of artists who went through the preparation till the art exhibition day was 24.

10 years later, we are now preparing for the next lion exhibition called : The Gathering of the Lions ‘’I AM’’.  We started planning in April 2023 and started gathering artists along the way till Aug. God gathered the same number of artists 24 for this exhibition again! There will not be 59 paintings. But all the lion paintings are freshly painted in 2023 and 2024 with fresh revelations specially for this exhibion.

.Look forward to meeting you there!
